"Alison Huddy and her husband Jason are great real estate agents. Their expertise is in Northeast Los Angeles (Atwater, Echo Park, Silver Lake, Highland Park, Eagle Rock, and more). I originally started looking for a property at the beginning of 2015 with a different agent and made many, many offers that were all rejected. I felt as though something was missing in the process the previous agent didn't give me very good tips or advice during our trips to open houses, and she also was not able to make it to more than half of the open houses I wanted to see. Alison, on the other hand, made herself very available to me which was extremely important especially as I was a first time homebuyer. She filtered out houses that she thought would meet my criteria and even went ahead to see the houses before we went together. As you can imagine, this saved me a lot of time as I'm usually not able to see any open houses during the weekday due to work. She gave me tips that were definitely helpful tips on whether the house would be easy to sell in the future, tips on location of property, etc. To top it off, she has a great bubbly personality that makes you love seeing her every single weekend for those open houses.mIn the end, her many years of experience helped me to purchase a house of my dreams, in less than 2 months of working together! She used several tactics that I found very smart. Imagine if I had started off with her! "Alison and Jason were referred to us from friends who had just gone through the process of buying their first home and from our very first meeting, we had complete trust in them we were grateful to have them guide us through every step of the process. I'm a super anxious person and can be pretty high-strung so naturally, the home buying process drives me pretty crazy but Alison and Jason were fantastic at rationalizing with me, a crazy person, and managed my expectations throughout the process. We had just lost a bid on a condo when Alison called and said "I have a good feeling about this one, it just listed" and because tons of scheduling conflicts prevented my husband and me from finding a time to make it out together, she set up an appt for each of us. She was right. We found our home. Then of course the anxiety went through the roof through the bidding war, the escrow, etc. and she and Jason were patient enough to do things like explain exactly what an "escrow" is a couple times over and savvy enough to recommend the right strategy to win the house, get through escrow, and get us into the house. Open communication, deep knowledge of the market, strategic, and effective negotiation are all reasons why they're so good at what they do. We clicked right away she is so warm, funny, and easy to talk to, so I called her when I got serious. I went through this process by myself feeling totally clueless about the market, the process, how to negotiate, and was lucky to have her hold my hand every step of the way. I was very much a house buying novice in a heightened state of overwhelmed panic, but Alison answered my numerous questions about everything I could not wrap my brain around! I work long hours, but she would make herself available late at night for a debriefing after I had submitted an offer on a place. Even during a very long escrow, and crazy things happening like losing funding, having to find a new lender, verifying permits, etc., she was always there to patiently walk me through the process. Fast forward to after we finally closed on the place I loved and wanted I still had tons of questions on who to call to fix it!
